Jan-Pro of Utah Achieves Prestigious Business Diversity Award - Recognized as an Outstanding Organization with Diverse Workforce

Utah Attorney General, Mark Shurtleff, acknowledges Jan-Pro of Utah’s achievements in business diversity - with 85 franchise owners throughout Utah, the company was saluted for implementing practices that consistently benefit clients as well as the community.

Salt Lake City, UT June 21, 2011 — Jan-Pro of Utah, master franchise of Jan-Pro International, Inc. (Jan-Pro), an established global leader in commercial cleaning, today graciously accepted the prestigious Utah Business Diversity Award, saluting the best business inclusion practices throughout the Jan-Pro offices in Utah.

The awards program was developed by the Salt Lake Chamber, the Salt Lake Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and Utah Diversity Connections. The Diversity Award was created to recognize outstanding organizations that embrace diversity.

Jan-Pro of Utah was selected from a list of 14 Utah-based finalist organizations. At an awards ceremony June 14th, the 2011 Award was presented by Utah Attorney General, Mark Shurtleff, to Carol and Tom Richter, Jan-Pro of Utah master franchise owners.

“When Carol and I started Jan-Pro Cleaning Systems of Utah May of 1999, we made a commitment to be a leader in providing business opportunities for everyone,” said Tom Richter. “The state of Utah has a diverse community, with a deep resource of talent. Today, we are proud to have 27 countries represented in our group of 85 Utah franchise owners.”

The formula seems to work, as the Jan-Pro of Utah franchisee owner operaters have enjoyed a 99.4% account retention rate in the last year.
